Sally Basmajian signs book deal with Creative James Media
S For Story/10488693
PASADENA, Md. - s4story -- Creative James Media, a small press located in Pasadena, Maryland, announced it has signed debut author Sally Basmajian to a book deal for her romantic comedy So Hard to Do. This rom-com romp explores mother-daughter relationships, love in middle-age and the quest for independency.
Breaking up is awful. When Suze, a middle-aged mom, dumps her emotionally dependent adult daughter Jannie in order to get her own apartment—and life—it's downright catastrophic. Then, just as Jannie thinks she's replaced mom's maternal doting with a studly older man love interest, she finds out he's fallen for someone else. Horrors! He's in lust with her very own adventure-seeking mom.
So Hard to Do will release in January 2023. It will be available across eBook platforms and as a paperback. This title will be a great lead-in to Valentine's Day and Spring. We hope readers fall in love with Sally's writing and characters.
About the Author
Sally Basmajian is an escapee from Canada's broadcasting business. Before fleeing the corporate world, she was Bell Media's Vice President and General Manager, Comedy and Drama.

In February 2020, she was awarded first prize in both the Fiction and Non-Fiction categories for Ontario's Rising Spirits contest, and she recently placed third in the WOW-Women on Writing short fiction contest. She completed her Graduate Certificate in Creative Writing at Humber College in 2019 and holds a Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of Toronto.
When she isn't walking Parker the Sheltie, or golfing with her tolerant friends, or dreaming up a new story, she's usually tucked away in a flowery nook in Niagara-on-the-Lake, nose deep in a novel.
