Included in the video is his deeply emotional story of the 980,000 bitcoins he mined beginning in January 2009 and subsequently lost in 2010.

Satoshi Nakamoto, whose legal name is James Bilal Khalid Caan, tells of the loss of his bitcoins and other reasons that weighed heavily on his decision to leave his creation in April 2011.

Nakamoto has ended his anonymity because he believes block chain technology is capable of a broader and more fundamental revolution than what has been achieved in his absence.
