Sign up for Juneau Pools summer swim lessons starting June 6

~ Juneau Pools, a popular swimming facility in the city, has announced that they will be continuing their Preschool and Youth swim lessons at both Dimond Park Aquatic Center and Augustus G. Brown Swimming Pool in July. The lessons will begin on July 14 and registration for the same will open on Friday, June 6 at noon. Interested individuals can register online through the Parks & Rec catalog by clicking on the "Juneau Pools" tab.
According to the press release, the lesson sessions at Dimond Park Aquatic Center (DPAC) will take place four mornings a week for two weeks, while lessons at Augustus G. Brown (AGB) will take place two evenings a week for two weeks. Each lesson will last for 30 minutes and the cost for each session is $80 plus tax. However, scholarships are available for those who need financial assistance. To apply for a scholarship, interested individuals must complete the form at bit.ly/ZGYCscholarship by June 4.
At DPAC, swim lessons will be held from Monday to Thursday with class start times available between 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. The Summer Session 3 at DPAC will run from July 14 to 24 and will include Preschool Levels 1-3 and Youth Levels 1-4.

Similarly, AGB swim lessons will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays with class start times available between 3:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. The Summer Session 2 at AGB will run from July 14 to August 6 and include Preschool Levels 1-3 and Youth Levels 1-4.
It is important to note that preschool classes are open to children ages 3-5 while youth classes are open to children ages 6-12. However, swimmers must meet certain prerequisites to register for classes beyond Level 1. Those who have not attended a Juneau Pools swim lesson placement session or passed the preceding class within the last six months will not be able to register for upper level classes.
