BUNKER HILL, W.Va. - s4story -- A debut novel built on the love and acceptance we can learn to give ourselves, "Allegheny Front" by Laurel Kile will be released July 6, 2021. Kile's protagonist is beautifully flawed and relatable, representing those who suffer from bipolar disorder while learning to find strength from within.
Though Kile's debut novel is a romance, overarching themes of self-reliance, redemption, and self-acceptance make it perfect for readers of clean, contemporary romances. Readers who enjoyed the "Virgin River" series by Robyn Carr will find themselves falling in love with the complexity of the characters and the explorations of spirituality, destiny, loss, mental health, and choice.
"Allegheny Front" is also a love letter to rural Appalachia, with vivid imagery highlighting the region's beauty and supporting characters who embody the best traits of the people that live there. Kile said, "I was born and raised in Appalachia. The terrain is rugged yet beautiful — the people are gossipy, prideful, and stubborn. However, they are also the most loyal, resilient, and compassionate people you will ever meet. My book honors not only the beautiful landscape of the Appalachian Terrain but the people who work and live in those valleys."

After a grueling school year, Kate escapes to Pocahontas County, WV to rest and rejuvenate. Unfortunately, a hundred-year flood hits and turns her vacation into an emergency evacuation. When Jeremy regains consciousness, he introduces himself as Tim Jones, and confides that he came into the wilderness to escape his hectic life. As they grow closer, Kate deals with the conundrum, can she let him know how she feels without telling him she knows his true identity.
