Texas Real Estate Investor Couple Talks Marriage & The Military on Becoming Millionaire Power Couple
S For Story/10574223
DALLAS - s4story -- In the first episode of Becoming a Millionaire Power Couple Season 2, Texas real estate investor couple MSG (retired) Ben and Dr. La'Quita Monley share what it takes to be not only a power couple but also a military family.
Becoming a Millionaire Power Couple TV Show is a movement to demonstrate how to help build strong marriages, thriving businesses, and generational wealth for 100,000 families worldwide. Marriage/relationship strategist couple Eric and Dr. Sakeisha Hylick host the show.
The high school sweethearts sat down with the hosts shortly after celebrating 25 years of marriage. The two kept the audience hanging on their every word as they discussed surviving marriage through trial and error and recalled some of the challenges they overcame. From the comical stories of how they met to how they secretly tried to get married in high school to the mystery of Ben's military career, viewers could see themselves in the couple and relate.

In full transparency, Dr. La'Quita explained how they lost their first real estate property. "Well, I thought I did a good job, but I didn't. So very long story short, I got the property," says Dr. La'Quita. "Then, two weeks after him being home from war, his present was that we lost the property. I failed." Fortunately, they could bounce back from this incident with their marriage intact.
The couple took the stage again but separately for the husbands and wives panels (two additional episodes), where they partook in deep, thought-provoking discussions about how they power through marriage. When asked how they balance all the things that come along with being a wife, mother, and businesswoman, Dr. La'Quita says she had to find someone who was a safe space that she could emulate in her marriage. She also pointed out that many marriages struggle because their friendship circle is not conducive to their marriage goals.
Aside from their work in ministry and real estate, Dr. La'Quita is a life coach and author. Currently, under her direction, the Monley's are working on an anthology for military families. The visionary is looking to partner with fellow military spouses as co-authors willing to tell their unique Christ-Centered stories of sacrifice. This opportunity allows individuals to share their stories of overcoming the fight of having a partner in the military.
