The book's primary source of inspiration came from reading a gifted copy of The Profit by Kahlil Gibran. Floissac spent the next 20 years fascinated by universal topics.

In the preface, Floissac writes "This book could be seen as my reflections on similar themes... I was motivated to write this book in the hope that if someone reads it, they may obtain a new frame of reference and see all things in life from a place of gratitude."

The book is divided into three parts: Universe, Community and Individual, with standalone chapters addressing a universal topic under each segment. The reader is encouraged to browse the table-of-content and pick a topic for the day based on their interest. Topics are introduced with a short devotion of gratitude and then offers some suggestions on how the reader may choose to interact with the topic. In each chapter, Floissac shares his personal experience with the topic, invites us to reflect on what was read, and encourages sharing those reflections with the loved ones in your life.
