The Beauty Briefing Launches Worth It and Skip It Product Verdicts
S For Story/10700513
The Beauty Briefing launches Worth It and Skip It Verdicts, replacing scores and star ratings with clear beauty-product buying recommendations.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - s4story -- The Beauty Briefing has launched its Worth It and Skip It Verdict system, a binary approach to beauty-product evaluation designed to give shoppers a clearer answer before they spend their money.
Instead of assigning stars, numerical scores, or broad ratings, every evaluated product receives one of two recommendations.
Worth It means the product has earned The Beauty Briefing's recommendation and shoppers can buy with confidence.
Skip It means the product has not earned a recommendation and shoppers are advised to save their money.
"A product being acceptable is not enough to earn a recommendation," the publication's ownership said. "The question is whether we would confidently recommend that a shopper spend their own money on it."

Verdicts consider the complete product, including formula, available evidence, claims, expected performance, shopper fit, value, and meaningful limitations. Products are compared with relevant alternatives rather than evaluated only against their own marketing.
A Skip It Verdict does not necessarily mean a product is universally poor. A product may fall short because it underperforms, offers weak value, relies on overstated claims, has meaningful drawbacks, or is outclassed by better options.
Every Verdict also begins with a standardized BeautyBrief™, giving shoppers the essential buying information before the full evaluation.
The new system reflects The Beauty Briefing's guiding editorial principle: Every beauty product should earn its place.
