"The Connect Current is about creating space for real conversations around what it takes to build in San Diego," said Zanewicz. "There is a depth of experience, insight, and momentum in this region that often goes unseen. This podcast brings those voices forward in a way that is accessible, honest, and grounded in what is actually happening across the ecosystem."
Produced by Connect's Tre Braquet, Chief Brand and Engagement Officer, the podcast builds on the organization's legacy as one of the nation's first innovation accelerators. Since its founding, Connect has played a central role in helping startups grow through access to capital, expert advisors, and community driven programming.
The Connect Current is designed to document not only success stories, but also the realities behind building companies in a competitive and evolving market. Topics explored in the series include capital formation, infrastructure gaps, founder journeys, and the unique dynamics that define San Diego's position as a global innovation hub.
