The School District of Lee County opens applications for Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair in April

Invitation-only event to fill instructional positions for the 2026-27 school year
FORT MYERS, Fla. - s4story -- The School District of Lee County will hold its annual Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair on Thursday, April 23, welcoming qualified candidates to help fill instructional positions for the 2026-27 school year.
The Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair is by invitation only. Interested candidates must first apply to the District's "2026–2027 Instructional Talent Search Pool" (Job #20260014) at Apply.LeeSchools.net by April 15. Applicants who meet the necessary qualifications will receive a formal invitation to attend the Spring Teacher Recruitment Fair.
During the event, District representatives will be available to connect with interested candidates to discuss classroom opportunities and open positions across the District. School leaders will also conduct on-the-spot interviews for a variety of positions spanning all grade levels and subject areas. High-demand instructional positions include English language arts, elementary education, science, math and special education.

The School District of Lee County is among the largest school districts in Florida and the United States, serving more than 100,000 students across 118 schools. The District offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation plan for its employees, along with additional benefits and earning opportunities through advanced degree supplements, summer school, athletic coaching and more. Upon hire, eligible employees receive access to a personalized benefits selection process.
To be eligible for a full-time instructional position within the District, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a valid Florida teaching certificate or an out-of-state teaching certificate covering the appropriate area of responsibility. Candidates with only a bachelor's degree must take and pass a subject area exam to qualify for certification. Interested candidates can register for certification exams at fl.nesinc.com.
