Tishman Speyer Selects Vikki Jones CEO of VMH Publishing for Founder Program SoHo New York Property

Vikki Jones Selected for Founders Program by Tishman Speyer Will Receive Space to Grow VMH Publishing in Soho New York
NEW YORK - s4story -- Vikki Jones founded VMH Publishing when she discovered mainstream book publishers weren't necessarily open to the mother that wanted to publish recipes handed down from her grandmother, or the poet without a small number of followers that wanted to publish their poetry. Filled with passion for an overlooked market, Jones decided to do something about it - start a publishing company.
"Over the years I've learned like any business, book publishing is also a business that must generate a profit. For this reason it's understandable why the majors select writers and titles ideally with the sale or profit in mind. The reality is the book has to sale. Although this is the case, I believe if the passion is in the heart and the literature is compelling, educates or is entertaining why not create a new lane."

An African American female founder, Jones was selected to continue expanding her company through the Tishman Speyer founders program. Tishman Speyer is a leading owner, developer, operator and fund manager of first-class real estate around the world. Founded in 1978, Tishman Speyer is active across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and many of the world's most prestigious corporations rely on Tishman Speyer to meet their space needs. Through the Tishman Speyer Underrepresented Founder Program minority owned businesses owner recipients, receive a prime New York City office space with access to networking opportunities, and top amenities.
"This news could not have come at a better time - print book sales are up. It seems the pandemic has influenced storytelling and sharing," says Vikki Jones, "As a small publisher delivering big publishing appeal minus the funding or the strong support there are times when I feel the pressure of helping writers across the publishing finish line. Which is why it's a good thing that Tishman Speyer has this program; this company is definitely in my category of 'strong support'. Right now readership and books sales are up, this is good timing for my brand."
