Speaking about the stats, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment (http://www.candm.co.uk/), said: "It's always encouraging to see a rise in new travel job placements – and a 17 per cent increase from April is a very positive thing. However, we can't ignore the fact that placements, candidates and vacancies are all down compared to the same month last year. While the year-on-year dips aren't huge, we are hoping to see activity pick up as we enter the summer months. Fortunately, the early stats for June are looking healthier with more companies looking to bring new travel talent into their team."

All figures are drawn from the month's new vacancies advertised with C&M Travel Recruitment.
