40 States Down, 10 To Go. Noah Coughlan entered New Hampshire on Sunday, December 20, 2025 at Somersworth, NH on his FIFTH Run across America.
CONCORD, N.H. - s4story -- Noah Coughlan has reached New Hampshire, the "Granite State", after crossing Maine at Somersworth, NH in his attempt to become only the THIRD person ever to cross every U.S. State on foot. He will continue through Concord, Hillsborough, and Keene into Vermont by Christmas Day.
Coughlan is on Day 65 of 260, and has completed over 1,300 of 5,500 miles on his "Run For America : A Tribute to the American People". He completed Kansas (37), South Carolina (38), North Carolina (39), and Maine (40) so far on this 2025/2026 trek.
Noah runs solo, pushing a jogging stroller with a large American Flag attached to an eight foot flagpole. The American Flag was flown by the United States Air Force on a mission on KC-46 Pegasus by the 70th Air Refueling Squadron in October 2025.

His mission is centered around the forthcoming 250th Birthday of America on July 4,2026 as he is interviewing the American People and some of the estimated 50,000 remaining World War II Veterans regarding their American experiences and thoughts about the American Flag.
Run For America will continue through the Northeast past the Great Lakes into North Dakota and Montana and Idaho, ending the lower 48 continental States at the Pacific Ocean in Oregon. He will continue with 1000 miles across Alaska from Prudhoe Bay to Anchorage followed by his 50th State of Hawaii where he will finally complete all 50 States on Independence Day 2026 after 15 years and 5 Runs across America.
Coughlan has previously run across America four separate times in 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2023 as well as a Run across Ireland in 2020.
