J French Marks a New Era with the Premiere of Umbrella Clothing Line at 8586
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - s4story -- Hip-hop artist and entrepreneur J French unveils his new clothing line "Umbrella by J French" with an exclusive in-store launch at 8586 inside the Beverly Center. The retail premiere follows the release of French's latest music video "Smitten," which dropped Friday, December 12, continuing his momentum across both fashion and music.
Before launching this new line, French built multiple successful merch brands, including Independently Victorious (IV League) merchandise, JAGG rolling papers distributed nationwide, and high-volume "Black & White" merchandise tied to his viral hit.

From apparel to lifestyle, his early merchandising success became the foundation that later fueled his music career. French's path has been anything but conventional, rising from a difficult chapter in his youth, he made a personal vow to "never sell drugs to his community again", redirecting his ambition into creativity, entrepreneurship, and service.
That redirection paid off. French went from the streets to being recognized as one of the top seven most positive rappers, celebrated for messaging centered on growth, unity, and accountability, values that now shape the heart of the Umbrella brand. Inspired by imagery from French's album I Don't Believe in Days (May 2025).
