Shannon Marie Iannitto's 1st Work of Poetry and Photography Published

MECHANICSVILLE, Va. - s4story -- Shannon Marie Iannitto joins the Valutivity Press lineup with her debut work, Time to Look Up. With her anthology of poetry and original photography, she joins author Barry Scott Will, whose most recent The Long-List Troll was nominated for a Library of Virginia fiction award in 2018.

Time to Look Up was released on December 27, 2023. The first book-signing event will be February 10, 2024 at 10 A.M. at Fairmount Christian Church in room 177; the remainder of the release tour is in progress.

Iannitto has a background at Walt Disney World in theatre and at Chick-fil-A, but she has been eager to become published for more than a decade, since her writing courses at Brightpoint Community College.

Book overview: Life is tough. But believing in a personal God--who only wants the best for her--has guided Shannon Marie as she has navigated her life's complicated journey so far. This is an anthology of poems she has written along the way--sometimes messy; sometimes joyful. Think of it as her stream-of-consciousness conversation with God. Each of her poems is accompanied by her joyful, atmospheric photos, taken in the United States and abroad. It's a reminder to herself, that it's Time to Look Up.
