AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - s4story -- Adoption is a lifeline of support and opportunity for countless people, but it can bring challenges and emotional conditions that are often silenced or left unaddressed, including PTSD, risk of suicide, and fear of abandonment.

For generations, adoptees have been required to pretend they don't feel the pulse of their heritage beating within them. They often experience a number of pain points: the feeling of being unwelcome in the world, internalizing broken bonds, and a deep sense of loss, distrust, and rejection, to name a few.
