We're Doing It ALL Wrong Exhibition Happening May 2021
S For Story/10459581
Ed Dixon, owner and curator, at the Edward A. Dixon Gallery is planning an exhibition for the Spring of 2021 centered around the theme of the gallery's new project, We're Doing It ALL Wrong™.
DAYTON, Ohio - s4story -- The project and exhibition are gallery initiatives to highlight issues large and small that according to Mr. Dixon, "…have persisted in cultures, institutions, organizations, spiritual lives and governments for far too long." The goal of the exhibition is to not only highlight these issues but create conversations that lead to new ways to tackle old problems.
"Too many times, we've continued to do things because they're tradition or that's the way we've always done it. However, it's time for a change and in some cases a fresh start. There are too many issues that affect our daily lives, our futures and our planet that need real, long lasting solutions, now." ~ Ed Dixon
The Call For Entry has already received dozens of international entries and is open until February 28, 2021. Artwork submissions are managed online at Arts organization, CaFÉ. Artists will need to have or create an account on their website before submission. A range of artwork categories are eligible for submission from anyone over the age of 18. Cash prizes will also be awarded in three separate categories. Detailed requirements and information is available on the call for entry page which can be reached by visiting www.weredoingitallwrong.com. Mr. Dixon stated, "My hope is to find artwork that not only helps spark change but that will be representative of the times we live in for which future generations can look back on and learn from our past mistakes."
