Weiss's first novel, The Diary, has been released in hardcover and eBook formats by Zimbell House Publishing, today, April 9th, 2019. The Diary marks the first installment in the Cursed Young Adult series, to be followed by The Mirror in 2020.

In The Diary, Ana is an average high school girl. Searching for something exciting and new with her best friend Sophie, the two stop in a strange antique shop. That's where Ana finds the diary. With an urge to write, Ana begins using the diary—and finds that it holds more than the power of words. When strange events begin happening at school, it seems what Ana writes in the diary may be the cause.
