WASHINGTON - s4story -- The 2023 Miss District of Columbia USA and Miss District of Columbia Teen USA Pageants will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington DC. The winners of both divisions will move on to compete at the nationally televised MISS USA® Pageant and nationally streamed MISS TEEN USA® Pageant, respectively.

The 2023 pageants are produced by Brains & Beauties Productions, headquartered in Washington, DC and will be hosted by the Voice of DC, Rick Bernstein and Miss District of Columbia USA 2001 and First Runner-Up to Miss USA 2001, L. Angus Whinfield. The reigning Miss District of Columbia USA 2022 Faith Porter, who placed as a top 16 semifinalist at Miss USA 2022, will crown her successor. The reigning Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2022, Asia Hickman, will also crown her successor.

This is the second year Brains & Beauties Productions is producing and directing the Miss District of Columbia USA & Teen USA Pageants. At the company's helm is Chelsey S. Rodgers, Esq, a former Miss District of Columbia USA (2008). Her team includes Managing Director Cordelia Cranshaw Skeete, LCSW and Chief Consulting Officer Raquel Riley Thomas.

During the 2023 Presentation Show and Preliminary Competition, all contestants will take to the stage, perform a choreographed opening number routine, and compete in the fitness wear (Teen contestants)/ swimwear (Miss contestants) and evening gown phases of competition. Prior to the show, contestants will participate in a three (3) minute private panel-style personality interview with competition judges.

The Miss District of Columbia USA Organization has had four former titleholders win the MISS USA title: Bobbie Johnson (1964), Shauntay Hinton (2002), Deshauna Barber (2016), and Kára McCullough (2017). Miss District of Columbia Teen USA 2021, Hannah Gilliard, placed First Runner-Up in the 2021 MISS TEEN USA Pageant.
