2nd-Person Bedtime Bestseller Now Available as Audiobook
S For Story/10358064
"A Month of Bedtime Stories" hits the audiobook shelves after four years on Amazon's bestseller lists.
ESSEX, England - Nov. 8, 2018 - s4story -- A Month of Bedtime Stories is now available in audiobook format.
The book, a London Book Festival honoree which has been a mainstay of various Amazon bestseller categories since its release in 2014 and highly praised by critics, is a collection of 31 woodland tales inspired by the likes of Enid Blyton's The Faraway Tree series and A. A. Milne's Winnie The Pooh stories.
What makes these tales unique is that they are told in the 2nd person, with the listener being addressed as a gender-neutral "you" throughout. The stories concern various adventures that "you" had in the woods earlier in the day but have forgotten due to an amnesia-inducing "bonk" on the head.
More on S For Story
While this is intended to make the stories more immersive and interactive than traditional bedtime tales, the new adiobook format is particularly useful for parents who would like to tell their children bedtime stories but are unable to do so for one reason or another (e.g. physical disability, illness, etc.)
The audiobook format effectively gives such parents a "voice" with which to address their child/children, and encourages the latter to feel they are engaged in an interactive experience within the events of the story, effectively becoming the main protagonist in each adventure.
A Month of Bedtime Stories is available from Amazon and Audible immediately and will be available on iTunes in the coming weeks.
