Layla Sanaa of Brown Baby, Little Lady Debuts New Book at CamiCakes
ATLANTA - s4story -- The official launch party and book signing for Brown Baby, Little Lady will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021. The event will take place at the Lenox Square location of Atlanta-based CamiCakes (3393 Peachtree Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA 30309) from 1pm to 4pm.
"I talk with Layla all the time about the possibilities that lie ahead for her," said Kia Harris, Layla's mom. "Partnering with a Black woman entrepreneur like Andra Hall gives her direct access to what hard work and perseverance lead to. It's tangible inspiration."
Brown Baby, Little Lady
Outer courage begins with inner affirmations. Brown Baby, Little Lady is a book that explores the power of positive self-talk for girls ages 4 to 8. Kid author, Layla Sanaa, answers the questions that young girls often wonder: "What if they don't like me?", "Are my hair and clothes good enough?", "What if they don't pick me for their team?" Brown Baby Little Lady helps other girls like her recognize the best in themselves. Featuring an African-American girl as the main character, Layla speaks to the beauty and possibility that lies within each individual girl while tackling the need for diversity in children's books.
