ROSEMEAD, Calif. - s4story -- Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) has named Thomas Hogan as Director of Admissions. In this position, he will oversee the school's recruiting and orientation programs for new students, enrollment services, and the admission process.
Hogan is an administrator and instructor with more than 30 years of experience in high school education, admissions, and retention. Most recently, he served as Upper School Director and Cohort Program Director of Phoenix' Tesseract School. Previously, he served as Upper School Dean of Students at North Carolina's Providence Day School and Latin School of Chicago. He is a graduate of Lawrence University, with a bachelor's degree in Government, and Loyola University, with a master's degree in Education.
"The faculty and staff join me in enthusiastically welcoming Mr. Hogan," said Guillermo (Memo) Gutierrez, Bosco Tech's President. "I'm very excited to be joining the Bosco Tech Community," said Hogan. "Everyone has expressed a genuine sense of affection and appreciation for being a part of the Tech community. It is clear to me that the administration and faculty are passionate about helping the young men maximize their potential both intellectually and spiritually. It's my sincere hope to spread the word in the Greater L.A. area about the exceptional quality of education that takes place at Don Bosco Technical Institute."
The only Catholic applied science high school of its kind in the U.S., Bosco Tech uniquely combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with STEM-based studies. The innovative approach allows students to exceed university admissions requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of six technology and engineering fields, including the newest program, Biological, Medical and Environmental Technology. Bosco Tech has a college acceptance rate of 100 percent, with the majority of graduates pursuing STEM-related post-secondary majors. The school is located at 1151 San Gabriel Boulevard, Rosemead, 91770. More information is available at www.boscotech.edu.
