Celebrate Pop Culture at Mesa Library's Fandom Week

~ Mesa Library is gearing up for a week of excitement and celebration as they invite fans of all ages to join in on the fun during Fandom Week, taking place from October 6th to 11th. This event is dedicated to all things pop culture, including comics, gaming, music, TV, and movies.
Throughout the week, all four Mesa Library locations will be hosting a variety of themed events that are sure to entertain and engage attendees. These events will include staff-led panels, crafts, trivia games, interactive activities, and more.
One of the highlights of Fandom Week is an interactive movie event taking place on Monday, October 6th at the Red Mountain Library. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., fans can experience a screening of the beloved film Hocus Pocus (rated PG) with added fun through props, activities, and plenty of Halloween-themed surprises. This event is open to all ages.

On Wednesday, October 8th at the Dobson Ranch Library from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Fandom Week continues with Supa Dog BINGO. This game is inspired by the popular series Dog Man and is designed for children ages 6-12.
For those who dream of becoming a hero like their favorite characters from myths and legends, Thursday's event at the Mesa Express Library is not one to miss. From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., children ages 8-12 can participate in Hero Training Camp inspired by the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles. Attendees can expect themed crafts, games, and other surprises.
The grand finale of Fandom Week will take place on Saturday, October 11th at the Main Library from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. This day will feature gaming activities, crafts, fan panels, and local artisan vendors selling themed merchandise. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed in their best cosplay. This event is open to all ages.
