PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - s4story -- Author Tess Riddle has published the first book of her series Rita Honeycutt series through T&R Independent Books. We are pleased to announce our newest author has launched her debut book. Mrs. Riddle has long wanted to write books, but the concept for this, her first novel, began taking shape in 2014.

Beset by health concerns (cancer), Tess was not able to concentrate on the novel like she wanted. But she refused to give up and doubled down. The result is Haney Place Secrets, which she says, "I've aimed this book at teenagers and pre-teens. I've always loved mysteries both as an adult and as a teen. This first mystery takes place with Rita Honeycutt at the age of fifteen. She, her older twin brothers, and friends start out with a simple job that the Chief of Police wants them to do and discover a major mystery."

Tess weaves a story involving an estate with a modernized two-story home of the sixties, a spiral stairs leading to a hidden basement, two dangerous men, a mysterious Boss, and a 'structure'. As they search for the mysterious 'structure' they are constantly aware that some very bad people are looking for the same thing. And the Boss won't let anything stand in his way!

Thus we begin the Rita Honeycutt series. When you read her books you just might be reminded of Nancy Drew, Trixie Belden and the Hardy Boys.

The book will be available at Amazon and T&R Independence Book website. Mrs. Riddle plans to make the book available through bookstores, especially in the SW Florida area.
