Enduring Faith Press Launches Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign for When She Chose Life
S For Story/10701837
October campaign pairs Amara L. Stone's memoir with a companion short film to encourage survivor-centered conversations about hidden abuse, faith, healing, and reclaiming life.
IRVING, Texas - s4story -- Enduring Faith Press is announcing a Domestic Violence Awareness Month campaign centered on When She Chose Life: A Memoir of Survival and Healing by Amara L. Stone. Throughout October, the independent publisher will use the memoir, a companion short film, and digital outreach to encourage meaningful conversations about hidden abuse, survival, faith, healing, and reclaiming one's life after violence.
Published June 23, 2026, When She Chose Life explores the emotional realities of abuse that can remain unseen by family, friends, and communities. Through a survivor-centered narrative, the memoir examines fear, isolation, difficult choices, faith, and the gradual journey toward safety and healing.

The campaign also features When She Prayed in the Dark, God Made a Way — A When She Chose Life Short Film. Inspired by a pivotal portion of the memoir, the film follows Natalie through a moment of fear and uncertainty as she reaches out for help, prays during a crisis, and begins moving toward safety and a different future.
"Domestic Violence Awareness Month should be more than a calendar observance," said Antone Smith, Managing Member and authorized spokesperson for Enduring Faith Press. "We want this campaign to create space for survivors to feel seen, for families and communities to recognize that abuse is not always visible, and for people to understand that seeking safety and support can be the beginning of a new chapter."
Amara L. Stone writes under a pen name and maintains her privacy because of the sensitive nature of the subject matter. Media interviews are available with Smith, who can discuss the book's message, the companion film, the publishing mission behind the project, and the importance of survivor-centered storytelling.
