Pandemic Book Authors to Host Group Book Signing on December 13
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - s4story -- Uncertainty. Fear. Rage. Hope. The pandemic and societal unrest have left us all in a state of uncertainty that we often find difficult to put into words. Thirteen Charlotte writers have collaborated to articulate what the rest of us may be feeling in a new book: Change, Creativity, Curiosity and Hope in a Crisis Called Pandemic: Uncertainty, Fear, Perspective and Prayer – and they will be signing it (and selling it) on December 13 at Charlotte Art League.
Change was the brainchild of author, Pulitzer-prize winning retired journalist, and leadership consultant Glenn Proctor. The leader of a Charlotte writer's group, he and his team were gripped by a range of emotions in March 2020 as COVID-19 began to impact the United States. "This amazing group of writers had such diverse opinions and takes on what was happening in our world, and they truly ran the gamut. I approached them with the idea of collaborating and they immediately said yes," Proctor relates. During March and April, each of the writers – many of whom are published authors, speakers, and consultants – contributed several poems, short stories, or essays on the pandemic. Many circled back in the following days to add a piece on love as social unrest began to grip our nation. Contributing authors include WRITING BOOTCAMP Charlotte members: Lizz Baxter, Jeffrey Bryant, Carla A. Carlisle, Doreen Day, Sara Dir, Jim Dukes, Lori Myers, Amy Campbell Pratt, Glenn Proctor, Kimberly Shelton, Trish Stukbauer, Andrea Towner and Diane Weekley.

A notes section at the end allows readers to record their own thoughts on and experiences of 2020 and capture them on to future generations. Because we all know that in 20 years, we or those we love will look back on these times and want to remember where we were and what we were doing when the world quite literally stopped.
The signing is set for Sunday, December 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Charlotte Art League, 4100A Raleigh St. Charlotte, NC 28213. Come out and support local authors before the holidays.
Change, Creativity, Curiosity and Hope in a Crisis Called Pandemic: Uncertainty, Fear, Perspective and Prayer is available for purchase through the individual authors or at Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/y3rlpzag
