~ Austin, Texas- Governor Greg Abbott has recently appointed Tonya Miller to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for a term that will last until August 31, 2031. The TCEQ is responsible for safeguarding the state's public health and natural resources while promoting sustainable economic development.

Miller, who currently resides in Austin, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She is currently a director at the Texas Water Development Board and has previously held positions such as vice president of wholesale power strategic projects and optimization at the Lower Colorado River Authority. Miller also served as the executive director of the Texas Solar Power Association and held various roles at TCEQ, including director of the Office of Air and assistant director for the Radioactive Materials Division.

In addition to her professional experience, Miller is also an active member of the State Bar of Texas and has served on several advisory boards, including the Financial Research Institute Advisory Board. She has also been a former ex-officio board member for both the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and the Texas Reliability Entity.

Miller's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota.
