KAKINADA, India - s4story -- KAKINADA, ANDHRA PRADESH — In a pivotal move to strengthen grassroots democracy and support candidates from marginalized backgrounds, youth leader G.V. Sri Raj distributed election security deposits to contesting local body candidates. This vital aid, provided under the 'Geddam Sunder Rao Fellowship,' ensures that financial constraints do not hinder dedicated party workers from engaging in public service.

This empowerment drive aligns perfectly with the national high command's vision of fortifying the party base from the ground up. The initiative comes as former MP G.V. Harsha Kumar actively steers the regional election strategy as the Kakinada Parliament In-charge for the local body polls. By directly backing grassroots foot soldiers and inclusive representation, the move effectively revitalizes the cadre at a foundational level.

The fellowship honors the legacy of Sri Geddam Sunder Rao, G.V. Sri Raj's great-grandfather. The family's historic commitment to public welfare is deeply rooted; they notably donated their one-acre ancestral property in Gogovaripeta (Kothapeta Assembly, Ambedkar Konaseema region) for public use.

Highlighting their dedication to community development, G.V. Harsha Kumar previously utilized his MP LADS funds to build a public library on this donated land.
