Judges dismissed Child Protective Services' "unfounded" ruling after thorough interviews and reviews; overlooked the district attorney's 2022 charge dismissal due to inconsistencies in the ex-wife's story; ignored therapists' reports confirming no abuse by Poe but flagging the mother's harmful coaching and influence; disregarded bank records proving Poe's payments, allowing the ex to keep his assets; and failed to penalize her over visitation denials. Judge Messer didn't allow kids visits with the grandparents or other Poe family members for 4 years. Judge Messer chastised and openly punished Poe by continually extending his time away from the children for not taking responsibility for his actions and threatened to remove his co-custody rights unless he changed, stating "if he doesn't change." She seemingly eventually accepted that the accusation may not have been true, stating, "I don't think it matters at this point."
