Lipps Electric Celebrates Nearly Four Decades as a Trusted, Family-Owned Electrical Services Company
S For Story/10681282
CINCINNATI - s4story -- Cincinnati, OH – Lipps Electric proudly celebrates its legacy as a family-owned and operated electrical services company serving Greater Cincinnati since 1986. What began as one man's dedication to honest work and dependable service has grown into a strong, multi-generational business rooted in integrity, craftsmanship, and community values.
Lipps Electric was founded in 1986 by Ron Lipps, who built the business from the ground up with a simple mission: treat customers like family and deliver work that truly lasts. Today, Ron remains an active and invaluable part of the company—not only through his decades of experience, but through the time he invests in mentoring the next generation of electricians. His hands-on training and deep knowledge of the trade continue to shape the future of the business and the careers of young technicians entering the field.

The oldest son, Ronnie Lipps, began working with his father early on and has spent more than 20 years at his side. Ronnie continues to honor his dad's standards of quality, safety, and customer-first service, bringing hands-on expertise and consistency to every project.
In 2018, Kevin Lipps, the middle brother, took over as CEO, leading the company into a new era of growth while staying grounded in the family's long-held values. Kevin has expanded operations, strengthened partnerships, and modernized internal processes—all without losing the family-focused approach customers appreciate.
The youngest brother, Tom Lipps, joined the business two years ago, rounding out the leadership team and bringing fresh energy to the business and administrative side. His role ensures smooth operations, improved customer communication, and continued long-term stability.
Adding further depth to the leadership team is longtime family friend Brett Hardtke, who oversees project-based install jobs and general contracting. Brett plays a key role in coordinating larger-scale projects, managing subcontractors, and ensuring every installation meets Lipps Electric's high standards for quality and safety.
