Local SIERRA CLUB to Host New Member Orientation/Meet & Greet in Boynton Beach, October 21

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - s4story -- (Palm Beach County, FL – September 19, 2023) The Loxahatchee Group of the Sierra Club Florida Chapter is inviting the public to ESSENTIALS 101, New Member Orientation and Meet & Greet on Saturday morning, October 21, in the Visitors Center-Multipurpose Room at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, 10216 Lee Road in Boynton Beach (33473).
'We are inviting anyone interested in our organization or mission to join us for breakfast, followed by an informative ESSENTIALS 101 presentation," says Drew Martin, Conservation Chair of the Sierra Club Loxahatchee Group. "From 9:30 to 11:30 am our Membership Chair will share the history of our group, Campfire resources, and social media tools, followed by Core Committee Chairs who will provide project overviews and appeal for volunteers. Among the key topics of discussion will be Think Conservation, Political Engagement, Public Lands, Community Outreach, and more."

The morning will also include a special presentation by Supervisory Park Ranger Jennifer Brown.
"This is the perfect opportunity to meet the leaders of the local Sierra Club and also explore the beautiful A.R.M. National Wildlife Refuge," adds Martin.
