Reedy Press is pleased to announce the release of our newest local interest book, Around the World in Los Angeles, by Ruksana Hussain.
Around the World in Los Angeles features many people, places, stories, and histories that have created the L.A. the world knows and loves today. The book shines the spotlight on unique experiences, sharing about communities, cuisines, cultures, and the connections that thread it all together.
Living in Los Angeles, the author experiences everyday how the different communities that call this city home are impressing and embracing locals and visitors. From Hispanic and Latino, to Arab, African, Asian, South Asian, Native American—many ethnicities and nationalities make L.A. the melting pot it is.
Visit a single neighborhood in the larger metro area, and you will immediately notice the diversity that surrounds you, whether that's languages, festivals, fashions, or other facets. Choose any week or month and the city offers you several avenues to immerse yourself in those diverse experiences. This very aspect of Los Angeles shines through as the city prepares to host the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics, among other major regional and international events. But don't wait until then. L.A. warrants multiple visits to truly be acquainted with, and experience all the neighborhoods and communities that live and thrive here. Are you ready to dive in?
