Eric Hoffer Finalist Gives Parents a Book They Can Trust For Story Time
HOUSTON - s4story -- Storytime is a time to create special memories with the children in your life; however, many adults find it challenging to discover appropriate children's literature that's well-written and enjoyable for adults and children alike.
Author Carrie E. Pierce wants to help parents protect storytime. She took the writing talent she had honed over the last several decades and prayerfully crafted Eric Hoffer Award Finalist Abby Apple Tree.
"I believe adults should be able to feel confident the book they're reading to their children is free from agendas or inappropriate themes," stated Pierce.
Abby Apple Tree is written in the style of children's books of long ago and, at times, uses larger words and adult grammar in an effort to get children engaged in a deep way, asking questions and learning- not only about language but about the processes of overcoming fear, challenge, and heartbreak as well.
This is a relatively short book and can be read in 2 or 3 segments. It's great for naptime, bedtime, or story hour.
It's a must-read for children who have fears, insecurities, and/or feel out of place; this is a MUST-READ story!

Pierce has written professionally for more than 20 years. During the course of her life, Carrie has known great highs – and very deep lows. She's attained her dream of working in the Film and TV industry. She's been published many times and has also co-hosted two acclaimed, internationally syndicated radio shows.
She's seen dreams come true – and has also walked through very dark times of tragedy and heartbreak. Awful as those heartbreaks were, they've provided Carrie with an even richer insight into the human heart and spirit, giving her wisdom and gentleness often lacking in today's world. These qualities are found throughout her books and articles- and are also evident in personal interactions with her.
