Dr. Lloyd-Jones emphasizes the inability of people to recognize or accept the light of Christ, often responding with hatred toward the Gospel. Despite this, the light of Christ persists, having shone throughout history via scripture, prophets, apostles, and the Church. For believers, this light has penetrated their darkness, bringing enlightenment and knowledge of Christ. Dr. Lloyd-Jones encourages self-examination in light of the Bible's teaching on sin, allowing it to humble us and drive us to seek deliverance in Christ alone.
