Springfield, Mo. ~ Springfield, Mo. - In celebration of National Faith & Blue Weekend, the Springfield Police Department and Crosslines Community Outreach are teaming up to encourage community members to get involved in a hands-on service project. On October 13th from 2-4 p.m., volunteers are invited to join SPD officers at Crosslines' headquarters located at 3055 E. Division.

The focus of this service project will be on helping children and families in the foster system. Volunteers will have the opportunity to sort socks and underwear for children, bag laundry pods for families, and deep clean the pantry. This event aims to bring together community members and officers in a joint effort to serve one another.
