The Involvement Group appoints new Director of Operations
S For Story/10681736
HYDE, U.K. - s4story -- The Involvement group has recently announced the promotion of Oliver Lancaster to Director of Operations. This pivotal role covers the full breadth of the business, including Invopak packaging and Invo Fulfilment storage and transport. Lancaster's wealth of experience in purchasing and supply chain management will be invaluable in supporting the rapid growth of the company.
Involvement's newest director joins a collaborative leadership team focused on navigating the current economic climate with a balanced approach to business. "We have an open forum as a director group where we trust each other's expertise," Lancaster explains. "If there is a justifiable, exciting opportunity that requires investment, we'll always look at it. It's about making the right move at the right time for the business."
Teamwork and agility are the key to success in sport and in business

Lancaster's acumen for making the right move at the right time was first honed on the rugby pitch, where he played semi-professionally for Harrogate and Lymm. He credits his experience as the on-field organiser as the perfect preparation for steering complex business operations, "I was the fly-half and did all the organising, which makes a lot of sense given what I do now," says Lancaster. "In operations, you are the link between staff and leadership strategy, ensuring productivity and profitability through teamwork."
"That desire to be part of a team has never left me."
Teamwork is the central tenet of Involvement's (https://involvement.co.uk/) people-first approach to business, something that the group has been externally recognised for through Investors in People's Platinum award. For an ex-rugby player like Lancaster, it is always good to receive silverware, but it is in the thick of the action where Lancaster thrives. "My desire to be part of a team has never left me, and I'm lucky enough to work with a great team of people. I absolutely don't take for granted the fact that I wake up every morning genuinely excited to go to work. It's an incredibly privileged position to be in."
