S For Story/10706223
s4story -- Plaza México announces the return of its iconic Paseo de las Estrellas (Walk of Stars), honoring on this occasion, with a 'Mayan Star,' the new generation of Mexican and Mexican/American personalities of the entertainment, community advocacy and sports world.
There is no better example of that bright future in store for the Mexican entertainment industry than the multiple awards winning singer-songwriter Majo Aguilar. Majo is both the traditional representation of Mexican music, and a perfect example of the fearlessness of Mexico's young music artists as she experiments with modern sounds and collaborates with artists of varying genres like a musical ambassador for the country.
As the granddaughter of Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, two legendary figures who represented Mexico's Golden Age of Cinema and were each honored with a star on Mexico City's Paseo de las Luminarias, Majo is a fitting choice to become the first honoree in the relaunch of Plaza México's Paseo de las Estrellas. She proudly follows in her grandparents' footsteps, with her grandmother's star already enshrined at Plaza México.
The Plaza México Paseo de las Estrellas ceremony will take place at 3100 E Imperial Hwy, Lynwood, CA 90262, takes place October 30 at 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Majo Aguilar will receive her star in the category of Recording Artist.
