S&B Homes LLC, founded by Stephanie Ramirez and Brenda Lazo, focuses on real estate solutions that include wholesaling, land acquisition, affordable housing development, and short-term rentals. Grant funding will support land and property acquisition, renovation of distressed homes, affordable housing expansion, short-term rental development, job creation through local contractors, and planned expansion into North Carolina. The company's work aims to reduce vacancies and increase access to stable housing in underserved communities.
Avery's Helpful Hair Kits (https://www.averyshelpfulhairkits.org) was founded by Avery Jenkins at age eight alongside her mother, Petina Dixon-Jenkins. The initiative provides foster children with hair care kits specifically designed for curly and textured hair, including high-quality products, brushes, accessories, and waterproof zippered bags.
