Wonder Gardens to offer Florida Landscaping Expert Certification Program and refresher course

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - s4story -- Wonder Gardens is hosting the Florida Landscaping Expert Certification Program, a four-session course, in addition to a single refresher course. The program is designed for individuals who serve on an HOA landscaping committee, but all guests are welcome.
The four certification program sessions will take place on Jan. 23, Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and Feb 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. for participants to enjoy coffee and pastries on the patio. The sessions will be held in the Tea House with some course components taking place in the Gardens. Topics will include living in a subtropical climate, using plants in landscaping, right plant in the right place, shrubs and trees, proper pruning, palms, Florida statutes and landscaping, essentials of mulch, turf management and irrigation.
The single refresher course is designed for those who have previously completed the certification course to expand their knowledge and delve deeper into landscaping topics. The class will take place on Feb. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. The topics will include irrigation, specimen plant selection and placement and vertical planting, screening and trellises.
