TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - s4story -- Laura La Plante: Silent Cinderella
First-Ever Biography Book on the 1920s Silent Star

Despite being a top box office attraction of the 1920s, Laura La Plante has joined the class of "forgotten" actresses. Author Laura Jerrolds has made it her mission to give the dazzling starlet her time to shine 100 years later with this first-ever full-length biography book.

The extensively researched book features 101 photographs of Laura La Plante (many never-before-seen), personal letters and interviews, the star's filmography and recaps of her films, and a foreword from historian Kevin Brownlow. Jerrolds knows that the book will touch the readers' hearts with La Plante's poverty-stricken upbringing, her fearless mother who brought her to Los Angeles for a better life, and the real-life Cinderella story that plays out, proving the theory that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
