Blood Pact Films Unleashes Guerrilla Metropolitana's Controversial Underground Film 'the Benefactress'

Featuring mysterious British performers Juicy X and Mystery Woman, the divisive experimental feature continues to find new audiences through Blood Pact Films.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - s4story -- Blood Pact Films is bringing controversial underground filmmaker Guerrilla Metropolitana's THE BENEFACTRESS (An Exposure of Cinematic Freedom) to audiences through physical media and streaming.
The London-based Italian filmmaker behind cult arthouse horror film DARIUSS created THE BENEFACTRESS as an act of cinematic rebellion, combining improvisation, performance art, fractured imagery and handheld camerawork while deliberately blurring the boundaries between filmmaker, performer, fiction and reality.
At the center of the film are Juicy X and Mystery Woman, two British independent-film actresses appearing under pseudonyms whose real identities have never been publicly disclosed.
Adding to the film's mythology, Metropolitana says THE BENEFACTRESS was financed by a wealthy, elderly woman from American high society who chose to remain anonymous. She appears in the film, but her identity is never revealed.

Reaction to THE BENEFACTRESS has been sharply divided. Some have championed it as fearless and uncompromising experimental cinema, while others have condemned it as offensive, gratuitous and misogynistic. The controversy has helped the film develop a following among audiences of transgressive and extreme arthouse cinema.
Metropolitana's work has attracted international attention from publications including Rue Morgue, Starburst, Mondo Digital, Phantasmagoria and Off Screen.
Through Blood Pact Films, THE BENEFACTRESS is available on physical media and select streaming platforms and has received theatrical screenings in Indiana and California.
"The Benefactress gets people talking, and that's one of the reasons we wanted it in the Blood Pact catalog," said Shane Taraschke, founder of Blood Pact Films. "There should be a place for challenging, unconventional films to find their audience."
