VANCOUVER, British Columbia - s4story -- For decades now, multitalented vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Bruce Coughlan has been spreading love and positive vibes with timeless, unique, and equally accessible music.

Dissolving genre borders and crossing cultures, Bruce has been on a mission to connect with the world musically with such an extensive catalog that boasts 14 albums and countless singles. He knows how to pack a powerful punch, and his guitar-picking techniques are simply impeccable. He is an artist you can believe in because he sings directly from the heart and is formidably a storyteller at heart…a storyteller who tugs at heartstrings.

The track "Waiting for Rain" is an inspiring and uplifting single from Bruce's album of the same title. As expressed by Bruce Coughlan himself "With so many places in our world currently experiencing record weather conditions, it's hard not to feel concern. There are so many people holding their breath, literally "Waiting for Rain" to save them from the heat, drought, fire & more. The song was written however, from a metaphorical perspective. Rain, in this case being a metaphor for all things nurturing. As people around the globe attempt to cope with the complexity and dangers of an increasingly troubled world, finding sanctuary from the continual stress becomes rare. Waiting for Rain expresses a longing for care, for trust, and for connection with community."

This performance straddles the realms of rhythm and blues with the stylistic caliber of the roots sound for an emotionally gratifying listening experience. I love the guitar strumming and picking, which lays a steady acoustic foundation that tugs at listeners' heartstrings as Bruce's gentle yet powerful vocals breathe life into the deeply meaningful lyrical narrative of the track.
