Dan Ventures Shares Plans for Common Frame, Attainable and Workforce Housing for Vermont and Florida
S For Story/10705263
Common Frame will build homes for teachers, nurses, first responders and service workers using modular, container, robotic and 3D-printed construction, with resident programs planned from the start.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - s4story -- Dan Ventures USA LLC, a self-funded real estate and venture company based in Jacksonville, today shared plans for Common Frame, its attainable and workforce housing program in Vermont and Florida. Common Frame is focused on working households that earn too much to qualify for subsidized housing but can't afford market rents.
Both states face a shortage. Vermont's Housing Needs Assessment estimates that 24,000 to 36,000 more year-round homes will likely be needed between 2025 and 2029. In Florida, the Shimberg Center's 2025 Rental Market Study for Florida Housing Finance Corporation found about 905,000 lower-income renter households paying more than 40% of their income on rent.
Common Frame picks the construction method for each site based on its climate and budget. Options include factory-built modular homes, repurposed steel shipping containers, robotic framing and assembly, and 3D-printed concrete walls. Every method must meet local building codes and pass standard inspections. Depending on the site and partners, homes may be offered for rent, for sale, or both.

Resident programs are part of the plan from day one. They include community space and events, financial coaching and paths to ownership, connections to transit, childcare and healthcare, and job training with local employers.
Common Frame is in pre-development. Dan Ventures is looking for partners: towns with land, zoning or funding programs; employers who want reserved homes or master leases for their workers; and health, childcare, transit and training providers.
"The people who keep a town running should be able to live there. Common Frame starts with what a town actually needs, uses the building method that fits the site, and plans the services residents need from the beginning," said Daniel Kaufman, founder of Dan Ventures.
