KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. - s4story -- "Gunfighter: Morgan Deerfield: Death On The Horizon" pulls together two of Fie's most popular releases and puts them together as one story for the first time.

"The idea came to me," Fie explained, "that I could tell a story in two parts and present them something akin to a movie series. That's how that book took shape. The first part sets the stage and the second part delivers the punch."

In the first part, Morgan Deerfield's quest for peace so far has been a difficult one, with two attempts having been made on his life within the past year. But Morgan remains firm in his resolve in the hopes that, one day, the long shadow he casts will be erased and peace will come. But then, he begins to see death on the horizon.

The second part sees Morgan Deerfield get more involved with each passing day as his quest for peace becomes more and more puzzling. Morgan is still troubled by nightmares, and Miss Betty asks Sheriff Farley to have a talk with Morgan once again. But Sheriff Farley has problems of his own to solve. The big question for Sheriff Farley to answer is… who is behind a vast crime spree disturbing peaceful living in the town of Hamilton?

With this new Western already in the top twenty on the bestseller chart, this goes to show that the Fie hit formula keeps on working. "It's about the stories," Fie explained. "It has to always be about the stories."

A brand new John D. Fie, Jr. novel will be released in March 2020.
