BOSTON, March 13, 2025 ~ The 24th annual Bio-IT World Conference & Expo, held in Boston from April 2-4, is set to showcase the latest advancements in precision medicine. The event, known for its innovative approach to the field, will feature a plenary keynote program with distinguished leaders from the biotech, pharmaceutical, and healthcare industries.
According to Cindy Crowninshield, Executive Event Director, this year's keynote program is "nothing short of extraordinary." The presenters will be discussing their use of new technologies such as AI, quantum computing, and data science to push the boundaries of therapeutic treatments.
The plenary sessions will take place over three days and cover a wide range of topics. On April 2nd, leaders from organizations such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Third Rock Ventures LLC, BioMap, Bessemer Venture Partners, Pfizer Inc., and Mayo Clinic Platform will discuss the evolution of AI in life sciences and healthcare.
The following day will feature talks on deep learning for antibiotic discovery by James J. Collins from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and generative AI in aging research by Alex Zhavoronkov from Insilico Medicine. On April 4th, Tris Dyson from Challenge Works and Jeff Rothstein from Johns Hopkins University will discuss the global initiative known as the Longitude Prize on ALS that aims to revolutionize treatment through collaboration between computational biologists, neurodegenerative researchers, and AI-driven biotech leaders.

Other sessions throughout the conference will focus on topics such as scaling genomic medicine through informatics and innovation led by Robert C. Green from Harvard Medical School; using machine learning for therapeutic candidate selection led by Justin M. Scheer from Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine; and celebrating innovation with the 2025 Bio-IT World Innovative Practices Awards.
In addition to these sessions, there will also be a Bio-IT World FAIR Data Hackathon where interdisciplinary teams will work together to find solutions for real-world biomedical data challenges. The conference will also offer pre-conference symposia and workshops to help attendees master pivotal technologies, over 200 presentations on topics ranging from AI-driven immunotherapy discovery to AI-powered molecular function optimization, and a concurrent Bio-IT World Venture, Innovation & Partnering Conference featuring leaders from various organizations.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with over 150 exhibitors, view poster sessions showcasing novel data, and recognize Best of Show award winners. The conference also offers targeted networking opportunities for attendees to meet potential collaborators.
