S For Story/10705215
FORT MYERS, Fla. - s4story -- Get ready to run, walk and wag your way to one of Southwest Florida's most beloved events – the Fast and the Furriest 2026, hosted by Gulf Coast Humane Society on Nov. 7 at Edison Mall.
This paws-itively fun 5K brings together runners, walkers and their four-legged friends for a morning of fitness, laughter and furry camaraderie, all in support of a great cause. Kick off race day the right way with a guided pre-run warmup led by Club Pilates Fort Myers West and Club Pilates Fort Myers Central.
Participants are encouraged to bring their leashed, well-behaved pooches to join in on the fun. Water bowls and treats will be available, and there will be photo ops to capture you and your furry friend on the run.
Proceeds from the event benefit Gulf Coast Humane Society, supporting its mission to care for and rehome thousands of animals every year.
Whether you're racing for a personal best or strolling with your best friend, this event promises a tail-wagging morning that the whole community won't want to miss.
Sponsors for the event include Club Pilates; Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice, Purtz, Smith & Smith; Fast Track Timing; JD Sports; Mast Family Culligan; Real Tours; Sam Galloway and Scoop Soldiers. Sponsorships are still available.
