TOMS RIVER, N.J. - s4story -- HOPE Sheds Light invites individuals, families, businesses and community members to come together on Saturday, September 12, 2026, for the 13th Annual Celebration of HOPE Walk. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hiering Avenue Beach in Seaside Heights and will bring the community together to raise awareness, honor lives, celebrate recovery and inspire hope. The event has become a meaningful tradition for families and supporters throughout New Jersey.
Since 2013, the Celebration of HOPE Walk has united thousands of participants in a powerful movement of compassion and support. Whether walking in celebration of recovery, in memory of a loved one or alongside someone they care about, participants demonstrate that healing is strengthened through connection and community.
"The Celebration of HOPE Walk reminds every individual and family impacted by addiction that they are not alone," said Pamela Capaci, CEO of HOPE Sheds Light. "When our community comes together with compassion and understanding, we help break down stigma, celebrate recovery and create hope for those still seeking it."

The morning will feature a two mile walk, inspirational speakers, family friendly activities, community resource vendors and the Tree of Hope, where participants can honor and remember loved ones. Proceeds from the event directly support HOPE Sheds Light's education, family support, peer recovery and community outreach programs.
Participants are encouraged to register individually or form a fundraising team with family, friends or coworkers. Registration is $10. Commemorative event T shirts will be distributed to participants as they arrive, while supplies last. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m., and the event will be held rain or shine.
HOPE Sheds Light's mission is to raise awareness and educate individuals, families and the community about the impact of addiction by sharing personal experiences and providing strength, wisdom, hope and resources that lead to positive community change and long term recovery. The Celebration of HOPE Walk reflects that mission by bringing people together in support of recovery and reminding every participant that hope can change lives. Participants are also encouraged to take part in the Top Team Fundraising Challenge. The team that raises the most funds will be recognized during the event for its outstanding support of HOPE Sheds Light's mission.
