"Look at It This Way" by blind author Sammy SweetSpirit
S For Story/10607212
Blind author & singer/songwriter Sammy SweetSpirit is pleased to announce the release of her book "Look at It This Way: The Blind Leading the Sighted" to bring awareness, understanding and inclusivity between the blind and the sighted.
ATLANTA - s4story -- Look at It This Way: The Blind Leading the Sighted gives the seeing world a glimpse into what blind people experience living in a sighted world, and it breaks through barriers that may cause people to think that differences equate to superiority or inferiority. This book's author, Sammy SweetSpirit, answers the questions we all may have been reluctant to ask.
Look at It This Way invites us to remember how connected all of us truly are and gives us ways to strengthen our bonds with each other, whether we can see or not. It creates an open discussion about the challenges blind people face and how those challenges can be overcome, by creating a space of understanding and awareness between people who are sighted and people who are blind.
Sammy SweetSpirit (www.sammysweetspirit.com), a remarkable author, life coach, accessibility consultant, motivational speaker, and singer/songwriter, has been an embodiment of resilience and inspiration since birth. Born prematurely at just 1 pound and 6 ounces in an ambulance, Sammy's early arrival into the world was a testament to her enduring spirit. Despite facing the challenge of blindness, a condition linked to retinopathy of prematurity, she has thrived against all odds.
