Vellum & Sigil Adds Medicare Advantage, Supplement, and Part D Plans
S For Story/10702189
Hingham-based agency founder completes AHIP certification and plans continued education-focused outreach to South Shore seniors ahead of Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period.
HINGHAM, Mass. - s4story -- Vellum & Sigil LLC, an independent life and health insurance agency based in Hingham, Massachusetts, announced today that founder Eli Harris has completed AHIP certification and carrier contracting and will begin assisting clients with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Medicare Part D plan options starting October 1, 2026.
The expansion builds on Vellum & Sigil's existing focus on life insurance, health insurance, and impaired-risk coverage, extending the agency's reach to Medicare-eligible individuals navigating an increasingly complex set of choices as they approach or enter retirement.
"So much of the work I already do is about helping people plan ahead instead of scrambling in a crisis," said Harris. "Medicare decisions are no different — people deserve someone who will actually sit down with them, explain their options in plain language, and help them choose what fits their situation, not just what's easiest to sell or pays the highest commission."

Harris has been a licensed insurance producer since 2022 and has held an independent adjuster's license since 2023, in addition to a Massachusetts Notary Public commission. He has spent the past year developing educational resources for older adults and their families, including a final-expense planning seminar series presented to Councils on Aging and senior living communities across the South Shore, and an in-progress Massachusetts end-of-life planning workbook.
Harris plans to extend the same educational approach he's brought to South Shore Councils on Aging and senior living communities through his final expense seminar series, offering similar sessions focused on understanding Medicare enrollment periods, coverage types, and how to evaluate options — with no product or enrollment pitch involved.
Harris is licensed to write insurance in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Florida, and Michigan, and serves clients in each state through Vellum & Sigil.
