LONDON - s4story -- In this latest instalment DCI Burt and his team are faced with the savage double murder of veteran police officers, beaten to death within days of each other in the seemingly sleepy provincial East Anglian market town. What did they do or know that warranted an execution? A headless torso of a young girl fished out of the River Thames, an 11 year old cold case in Norfolk, and the dangerous world of power, greed, drugs and danger ultimately link a wonderfully unexpected and ingenious story in this page turner.

What readers are saying:

• "Completely fresh and original telling of very well thought through plot"
• "There is a good mix of plot and a little backstory for the main characters which to me adds depth and I felt as if I quickly "got to know them" and their well roundedness shone through, to me showing the skill of a brilliant author"
• "a world of corruption, greed and danger that very quickly becomes a compelling page-turner that leaves you wanting more."

John said "I was amazed, and delighted, to discover that there were so many passionate readers that run local, informal free libraries and community reading groups, helping books and the wonderful stories within them reach as many people as possible that may not otherwise have had the opportunity. The impact of lockdown on libraries was obviously very severe, so these informal groups have taken on even more importance and I want to help in this small way"

A free prize draw will be announced on social media on publication day and will be open to everyone to everywhere.
