NEW YORK - s4story -- Retired NYPD Detective Michael Sheahan created an award winning Children's Character "Mr. Holidays," and a three-time award winning children's illustrated Christmas storybook "Mr. Holidays Presents The Roof Top Hop, accompanied with an original song filled CD and Dance Instructional DVD to go along with it. The book garnered a lot of attention winning many awards in the industry over the years.  It's a popular item at the Holidays to gift to children, because it offers so much fun for the entire family.  Each year Sheahan would donate thousands of books to children in need and charities that facilitated parties for kids in need.

However, this was not enough for Sheahan.  He wanted his book in the hand of every child in need.  To date, Sheahan has donated over $1 Million Dollars worth to children all over.  He teamed up with Community Mayors for Special Children and many other charities dedicated to children's needs.  Sheahan feels that he is Blessed with so many talents that God Blessed him with them for a reason, and he hopes this is just the beginning if possible.

As we know it's hard to keep a good thing quiet. In 2018 Sheahan was honored with "The Saint Michael's Award" (Patron Saint of Police) by His Eminence, Timothy Cardinal Dolan – St. Patrick's Cathedral -Arch Diocese of New York, and NYPD Police Commissioner James P. O'Neil. This year Sheahan recently has been honored with a "Humanitarian Award" for his efforts by the Community Mayors for Special Children at a big awards gala at the New York City Water Club.

Michael has never felt more gratified and has future plans for more children's books, songs and entertainment products in the near future. He will continue his mission of paying it forward through sharing literacy, music, art and dance to children and families everywhere.
